New philosphy: One bottle of local wine for each time zone crossed

Kelowna and the Okanagan!  What is not to love about this lush Canadian landscape, bounded by sea and mountain and steeped in lush argicultural land…oh, and did someone mention the wines?!

A short trip back this weekend to celebrate living with one of my dearest …  The last time we were here together, we drove along Bottleneck Drive savouring (not swearing) each time there was a reason to slow down and savour life- usually at a local vineyard.  This time, a much briefer opportunity to spend time together, and perhaps in the brevity, even more delight in the occasion.  I’m returning to the flatlands of Manitoba with some local memories carefully tucked in to my baggage and new plans to be back soon…and someday…permanently.

The sign at the Kelowna airport says:  Welcome to Kelowna.  Make the most of your stay  A good philosophy for life too, I’d say.

  1. Nadine,
You’ve brought back so many memories. I grew up in Kelowna, and I miss it. The sights, the people, and the laid back lifestyle.
I don’t think I would recognize it anymore. I hope you had a great time.

    1. How did you ever leave Kelowna, Jacques!!!!

I had a wonderful time! Biking, BBQing and Beach…plus walks, patios and just kicking back. Thanks for the note. N
